    At the June 9 general membership meeting the company mission, vision and core values were voted on and unanimously approved.

    • Mission Statement
      The Mission of the Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Company is to provide fire protection and rescue services, emergency medical assistance, community risk reduction and hazard mitigation in a professional manner to our unique maritime community and to all residents and visitors within the Tilghman Island Fire District and surrounding communities of Talbot County. The fire companies’ goal is to provide these public services in a courteous manner 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week. We are dedicated, caring volunteers protecting the community.

      The Vision of the Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Company is to be a trusted and resilient fire company, as we strengthen our capabilities, embrace innovation that exemplifies excellence in volunteer service. The TIVFC will strive to follow best practices and accepted standards in providing emergency services, as we preserve the proud traditions of Tilghman Island for the good and welfare of the public we serve.

    Bingo is Back at the Firehouse. Jackpot is over $1000 and it's a winner take all blackout game to round out the evening. This is an all new approach to bingo in Tilghman. Doors open at 6:00 and games begin at 6:30. There will be food plus games and prizes for the kids.

    The fire company held it's yearly banquet and installation of officers. The event was attended by local residents, volunteers, and members of state and local government. The Ladies Auxiliary provided a wonderful meal and setting for the event. Talbot Watermen Association was on hand to shuck oysters.
